Gauges for FI cars

I've been told that an EGT gauge is a better reading on fuel mixture because it produces "real-time" readings vs. stoich...whatever that means.

I personally went w/ an Apex'i elec EGT gauge. Has peak hold, 20 or 30 sec playback and a warning lite function. All that and a tric indiglo blue face.

i've always wanted some apex gauges but they probably cost big time $$$ .. how much did u pay for yours?

What do you think of the Greddy A/F ratio meter? I just picked one up but have not installed it yet. It has peak hold, memory, and a o2 sensor that welds into the headers for true readings. It's not cheap but I think that will give the best readings.

The problem with EGTs is were you put it. On a turbo car it is a little easies cause you can plum it at the collector which is pretty close to head. And have it monitor all cylinders and get pretty true reading. On SC car by the time you get to one pipe you are too far away from the head to get a good reading or you are only reading one cyclinder!

92 gsr/95b18c/turbo .. i'm already running an autometer boost gauge and a halmeter A/F gauge .. i'm thinking of selling the a/f and getting an EGT ..

what do you guys think is the better "tuner" gauge? the a/f or the EGT?
